This is one of my favorite things that Max does: eats with a spoon. I've tried (though not by putting forth a lot of effort) to get anyone else to do so, but they're not interested. This has been her spoon for several years (we don't use it for anything else) and as soon as she sees it in my hand, she starts saying "want some!" even if she has no idea what will be going inside.

Banana obsession
Blogger seems to be doing weird things since I switched to the new editor (and I can't figure out how to switch back) so sorry if things are odd until I can get it figured out.
Over the weekend, Max became obsessed with the bananas. She kept trying to get at them when they were on the counter. I finally put them in the bowl, thinking she'd leave them alone. But that did not stop her:
Luckily, every time she bit into a banana, it was the same one. Finally, I decided that perhaps she recognized a potassium shortage, so I opened the banana and gave some to everyone. She scarfed hers down!
At first, Basil appeared to be scared of the banana, but after he saw me eat some, he started begging for a piece and then ate it happily:
I was too concerned with Basil to get pictures of anyone else eating the banana; but they all did!

Office Assistant
Anyone looking for some light office work to be done? Brian found this binder clip and played with it for quite a long time (for a budgie.) We think he has potential!

Weapon of Choice
Max has been using herself as a weapon against Thomas lately. He'll just be minding his own business, and she'll suddenly fly into him at full speed. Last night, she hit into his head so hard he was worried she may have injured herself.
This was not the case, as she did it again this morning. He said it was kind of a blur, but he remembers her feet heading toward him "like a raptor!" Then the collision; finally, pain on the side of his head. When he looked up, Max was on her stand, preening herself as if nothing had happened.
Max is a very good flyer, so this is clearly intentional. I suspect it's hormonally-driven. He's promised to be more alert so he can duck.
